Board Care & Cleaning Instructions

After each use, scrub the board with hot soapy water without submerging.

Rinse thoroughly and dry with a soft towel.

Stand the board on its edge or on Board Display/Drying Brackets.

Apply a generous coat of Board Butter to all surfaces once every 3-5 uses to recondition the wood.

Let the board butter soak in for approx. 10-15 minutes and buff off with a clean soft cloth.

Keeping the board conditioned will prevent the wood from drying out.

DO NOT place the board in the dishwasher, or microwave.

DO NOT submerge the board in water or allow hot surfaces to come into contact.

This will cause the board to warp or burn.

Exotic Wood Disclaimer

The Bright and vibrant color of exotic woods such as Padauk  (red/orange), Purple Heart (purple), and Wenge  (black) will not last forever.  Like all woods they will darken and change overtime with exposure to UV light. If boards are stored in direct sunlight it will darken and loose its vibrant color within months. It is best to store in natural low light areas.  Native woods such as cherry and walnut will take on a gorgeous deep rich tone over time.
